A worker from seismic exploration company "Seismorazvedka" guides an all-terrain seismic exploration vehicle in the Arctic tundra near Naryan-Mar in the Nenets Autonomous Region. The vehicle, called a "vibrator", is made by French company Sercel and uses seismic vibration to test the structure of the earth crust below to help prospect for oil and gas. Four billion tonnes of gas and oil have been found in the region in the last decade.
