Russian timber is processed in the Chinese boomtown of Manzhouli, near the Russian-Chinese border. The building in the back is the timber trade exchange. Much of the forests in Siberia and the Russian Far East is destroyed to feed the construction boom of its resource-hungry Asian neighbour.
