Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev poses with a copy of the newspaper Novaya Gazeta by a newstand in Moscow. Lebedev is a part-owner of the independent news publication, which employs some of Russia's most courageous journalists including slain reporter Anna Politkovskaya. Lebedev also owns London's Evening Standard newspaper.
